“THERE’S NOWHERE YOU CAN BE THAT ISN’T WHERE YOU’RE MEANT TO BE” – THE BEATLES
Something brought you here today. What do you want to remember, document or celebrate? Whatever it is, you won’t regret preserving the simple joys of their childhood and your family’s love and connection exactly as it is right now.
It’s a privilege for me to be part of this experience with you and make it as simple as possible for you.
WHAT TO EXPECT
1. We’ll Chat
Every family is little different so we’ll start by chatting over the phone so I can get a better picture of your family. Whether you have a few questions OR have no idea where to start we’ll go over everything — what to wear, where to have your session, then a bit of paperwork including your deposit and contract and lastly we’ll set your session date!
2. We’ll Meet
On your session day, we’ll meet at a local park and your family will get to enjoy some easy activities like reading, walking, playing, or blowing bubbles to get your minds off the camera. If the focus is on baby, we’ll meet in your home for a longer session. All you have to do is be present with your family and go with the flow even if it feels like things aren’t going perfectly – every parent is always surprised at what a fast shutter speed can capture!
3. You’ll See Your Images
You’ll get to see your online gallery of images from the comfort of your home and share them with whomever you’d like. Then I’ll begin putting your photo album together, you’ll choose a color for your cover and will be flipping through the pages of a beautifully designed book before you know it.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When Should We Do This?
Spring or Fall months are most comfortable weather-wise and most visually pleasing with nature in full bloom for outdoor sessions. Mild summer and warm winter days can work too.
Golden hour, the hour before sunset, is when most photographers want to schedule your session because of the soft, gentle lighting. But since happy kids are important too, we can plan for a couple hours earlier if it’s better. For babies, we’ll plan for late morning in your home.
Since golden hour changes over the year, plan to schedule your outdoor session approx. at these times:
–Apr, May, Jun – 6 pm
–Sept, Oct – 5:30 pm
–Nov, Dec – 4 pm
Where Should We Do This?
If we aren’t working in your home, I recommend a park-like setting with a lake or reservoir for the pleasant color palette and peaceful environment.
My three favorite spots are:
-Turkey Swamp Park (Freehold, NJ)
-Manasquan Reservoir (Howell, NJ)
-Mercer County Park (West Windsor, NJ)
What Do We Wear?
Dress up or down based on what feels right to your family’s style. Here are a few tips to get you started:
- Keep it simple.
- Dress in neutral and solid colors.
- One or two people can wear a minimal pattern
(ie like mom in a delicate floral dress or son in a striped shirt).

BONUS TIP: You can also coordinate your outfits with the book/album colors you’re considering. See book/album colors here, then scroll to the bottom of the page.
What Do We Do With the Images?
The most common things I hear are “I can’t decide“, “I don’t have wall space“, or “I never ended up printing anything” so I’ve got you covered with 3 packages that include a little bit of everything — your session, images, and a keepsake album.
No getting stuck on which images to keep, not having wall space or future regrets of not getting around to printing. Otherwise, you can post, print and share your images as you’d like!
What If I don’t like the images, or my child or mother nature doesn’t cooperate?!
I want to make sure you have nothing to lose so in the event that something goes majorly wrong or you’re unhappy, you can choose to reschedule your session on a new day OR have your session fee refunded and you don’t have to purchase a package.
